Has anyone noticed that using natural shampoos (those lacking sodium laurel sulfate and parabens) make more hair than usual fall out? I have fine, somewhat thin hair and I decided to try switching to natural shampoos to make it stronger...although I've noticed that anytime I use a shampoo claiming to be natural, a bunch of hair falls out in the shower and in my hair brush. Has anyone else noticed this, or does anyone know what this would be the case? (Some of the natural shampoo I've tried specifically says ';for thin or thinning hair';, so I really don't think it makes sense.) Thanks!Do natural shampoos contribute to hair loss?
I doubt it.

Does any1 have any remedies for male hair loss? besides wigs, sprays, shampoos, surgery. ex i heard folic acid
Deal with it... Hair loss is natural... You could just shave it off and wax your head, then you would have nothing to worry about it.Does any1 have any remedies for male hair loss? besides wigs, sprays, shampoos, surgery. ex i heard folic acid
There's only two male hair loss drugs clinically tested and FDA approved : Minoxidil (Rogaine and other brands) and Finasteride (Proscar, Propecia, etc.), there are some interesting drugs too like Dutasteride or Follica but there aren't enough studies yet.
If you're into natural stuff, the only one that might be helpful is Saw Palmeto (there are capsules for sale in natural shops) because it contains anti androgens similar to the ones found on Propecia.
Minoxidil if you buy generic brands it's quite cheap and Proscar if you get the generic version it's reasonably cheap and will last you a long time.
Quite frankly all the other stuff are either placebos or scams.

I do not know if things claiming to cause hair growth work. But a good hair cut that suits you can really make a difference. Say no to comb overs.

My hair is falling out. What kind of shampoo or other things can I do to prevent more loss? I'm 22?
go to your doctor or dermatologist.... I had the same problem and I'm 23 I tried using some shampoo's that stores sell and it made it worse...My hair is falling out. What kind of shampoo or other things can I do to prevent more loss? I'm 22?
If it is stress related or genetic Nioxin is the best you can buy. However, it could be something else. Most prescriptions are cheaper than that shampoo and conditioner. Go to a doctor. Your scalp is an extension of what is going on inside, if its off balance there is a chance something needs to be checked up on.My hair is falling out. What kind of shampoo or other things can I do to prevent more loss? I'm 22?
mm. i say you should stop using whatever brand you're using now.
if you're hair's dry, then use the shampoo and conditioner that would help it. if it's not dry, then don't use the shampoo for dry hair cuz that is adding oil to your scalp, and that will clog up the hair follicals, making it hard for your hair to stay put and hard for more hair to grow.
eat healthier.
sleep more.
drink a lot of water.
and from time to time, do a handstand to get the blood flowing to the brain. it's a yoga trick.
if you can't do a handstand, then lie upside down on your bed to get the blood flowing.
oh...and maybe you should clean your hairbrush or change it.

It's not uncommon to find a B12 deficiency in women who suffer hair loss. BIOTIN (a vitamin) is also essential for hair growth- it's a major component in the natural hair manufacturing process and is essential to not only grow new hair, but it also plays a major role in the overall health of skin and nails. You can buy BIOTIN at any drug store in the vitamin section.
I have the same problem.
mine started when I was about 25
first, get your thyroid checked.
your doc can do that with a blood test
then, if everythings normal with results, go to a dermatologist.
they will check for female pattern baldness-does anyone in your family have thinning/bald head of hair
ask to get a prescription for minoxidil 5%, they sell this in 2%, and 4% over the counter, but these aren't strong enough
eat a balanced diet, drink lots of water, massage your head daily, don't put hair in severe ponytails/hairstyles, and try not to let stress effect you!
Best of luck!
bye a wig
r u bald yet?
nioxxin is the best. they even have vitamins that help.
Are you under a lot of stress lately?
Create a balance and time for you.
Eat balanced meals, exercise.
Also if it is really bad, see your
doctor to ensure your receiving the
right product.
Use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. It's made specifically for that reason.
Nioxin...try better drug stores..like rite aid
Reagen Hair reactive Shampoo and Hair Tonic.German Product. You can get it from the nearby pharmacy.
Usually, loss of hair can mean you're not getting enough iron in your diet. Stress is also a factor, I hate to say. You can take a supplement called Biotin, Folic Acid, and before considering an Iron tablet; please see your Doctor. You're pretty young to be losing your hair. It's probably a simple thing; try the supplements, stay away from stress and put more iron in your diet. Good luck:)
first of all, we drop an average of 60-100 strands of hair per day. at your age, u wun hav a permanent hairloss. There's also a possiblilty of hormones change which is temporary. You can try Lorael Kerastase Prevention for the shampoo and the tonic to apply after every hair wash. Just this 2, no extra(the stylist might intro u another package which is more expensive).
It's perfectly normal to lose hair each day (though I don't know the average number of strands), so I'd only worry if it's coming out in clumps or is seriously damaged. If damage is what's causing your hair to fall out, I suggest using Stephen Knoll's Deep Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. Use it daily and then use his hair mask (don't remember what it's called) once a week. You'll see a difference immediately. Start wearing a satin cap to bed or sleeping on a satin pillowcase (or both), this way your hair isn't getting caught in the cotton and breaking. Also try not to use too much heat at once - a blow dryer followed by a curling/flat iron can wreak havoc on your strands!
use the same shampoo.do not change it often
but it would be better if u go for herbal or sidda medicine.
human hair sheds every seven years or so, so dont worry too much, but if its an ongoing problem see your doctor about it. if u are a man it could be male pattern baldness!
use loreal shampoo and conditoner.. eat lots of veggies and fruits. stay away from stress.
Here's what you gotta do:
1. Get a vitamin E capsule (most of them comes in gel capsule form that has a liquid inside. Any brand will do.)
2. Get a needle and pop the capsule.
3. Now get your shampoo bottle and put the liquid vitamin E inside the bottle.
4. Mix the bottle.
5. Use your shampoo.
You'll notice that your hair will grow faster compared before. Trust me, this works. :) I also do this myself. :)
If you have virgin coconut oil at home, you can use this as well. Put it on hair and leave it for at least 30 minutes (You can do this at least 3x a day). Then rinse it off using your shampoo. The VCO can act as your hair lengthener and as your conditioner. :) Goodluck! :)

Will shampooing your hair daily aid hair loss?
Hmm. That's not something I have heard before, but I don't have any evidence to back it up either.
I know that some magazines suggest not shampooing hair every day, but I've read in a least a couple that thin hair is an exception because it tends to get dirtier quicker. My family has rather thin hair, and I know that I generally have to shampoo every day because I get such a build up. Most of my family does too. But my dad, who is 46 now, still has all of his hair despite this (you can tell that it is beginning to thin on top, but he hasn't lost any of it). So I highly doubt that this is the case.
I think the main reason for not shampooing if you have thicker hair is because if you shampoo too often then you drain your hair of it's necessary oils. In order to deal with that then, your hair makes even more oil. I suppose it might make your hair less manageable as well (if it's drained of things it needs, it's probably not going to be so awesome), but that doesn't mean it will fall out.
I hope that might help a little bit. Will shampooing your hair daily aid hair loss?

Does constant shampooing cause hair loss?
shampooing once a day is best cause it removes dht from the scalp,
I will hereby talk from my personal experience, I suffered a lot due to hair loss.
I started suffering from hair loss some years ago and tried everything.... and then i stumped upon a drug called procerin.... it works miracles!!!
I found an informational site, however this site does not sell the drug itself so you will have to go to the pharmacy for that or consult a doctor... this website is informational only -%26gt; http://medical-one.atspace.com/procerin.鈥?/a>
If this helps please remember me in your voting ;)Does constant shampooing cause hair loss?
Constant meaning everyday? It may do so, if very harsh shampoos are used. Otherwise it shouldn't cause hair loss.Does constant shampooing cause hair loss?
have a head massage:

yes
constant shampooing strips the hair of its natural oils and things that make it healthy. In the long run it will lose all the moisture your hair needs to grow. If you have been doing this then the best thing to do is to stop now and talk to a professional hair dresser about your condition and what you can do.
I doubt it. I wash my hair everyday, and its all there. I have thick thick hair... you lose about 100-200 hairs a day, but they are replaced by new ones.
well i think it depends.
if u abuse using shampoo
then it can be an outcome of ur
doings.
so be very careful.
